LTE: Social Matchbox Startup Event 9-15-2011 + Discount Code

DC ACM Members and Subscribers,

The Social Matchbox Startup Launch Event is an annual event held by East Coast Startup Founders, Investors, and Community Leaders to provide a launch platform for new web and software product startup companies to gain exposure to early adopters, major media, bloggers, investors–as well as to compete for a chance to win the Community Choice and Founders’ Choice awards from their peers.  The Startup companies that have launched at the event have met investors, attracted new team members, garnered attention from major media, and forged partnerships.  Event alumni include the region’s hottest startups from the last four years including Living Social, OPower, Cardstar, Groupsite, EarthAid, GeniusRocket, GeoIQ, Mixx, 410 Labs,, Social Gaming Network, Tap Metrics, and scores of others.  This is not a demo night, presenters are chosen from among hundreds of startups that are launching publicly for the first time and are closely scrutinized by a steering committee.
