DC Nightowls: A Weekly After Hours Coworking Group
Purpose: To help facilitate technology startups. In addition to providing individuals in the community a chance to work late night hours during the week night away from home, we place emphasis on this open forum for offline collaboration with an eye on innovation.
The Plan: We have two events a month at the same location, and then we have 2 other events that float around to different locations each month. We are building relationships with individuals and their prospective venue options. We also ask project questions during the RSVP process to confirm that people are bringing project work with them.

Local Academic and Technical Community Coverage
Purpose: Our members are generally interested in public technical events such as user group meetings, conferences, lectures, presentations, panel discussions, and happy hours. These events might be our own or within the local community. Also, we get the occasional discount to larger paid events that we pass along to our members. We might also post an occasional review on past events, published works, recently released software, and academic papers.
The Plan: We have a few contributors on our blog, whom are willing to review a conference or a technical community group event. We’re seeking additional contributors and potential monthly columnists as well.
