Strategic Planning

We are currently in the process of ironing out the direction of our chapter.  We are looking to define our Vision, Mission, Strategic Objectives, and fine tune our volunteer positions.  In this section, you will see working drafts of this information.

Vision Statement:

Our Vision is a world where computing is governed by a standard Code of Ethics. Professionals in the field are competent, continually advancing their knowledge, and using expertise effectively to benefit their professional and broader communities.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to advance the computing profession within the Washington DC metropolitan area through advocacy of high standards in ethics and excellence. DC ACM organizes and promotes educational and community events that encourage computing professionals to learn, collaborate, and promote knowledge to the benefit of members, their peers, as well as their extended communities.

Strategic Objectives:

We have targeted three areas of interest.  The three areas are Advocacy, Community, and Education.  We advocate a high standard of ethics toward computing professionals.  We also seek to engage the community of tech professionals as well as to help their continual effort of education as they move through their careers.
